Last year on May 31st, we held the 1st AQHA Ranch Sorting in California. Look for more to be held this next season.

The proof is in the pudding they say, and from our ranch raised horses past accomplishments over the years, their versatility speaks for itself. The horses that are listed below are shown and excel in Cow Horse events, Team Penning, Roping and Barrel Racing:

Pocos Magnum Doc (aka Khadofee)
Competed in Snaffle Bit Futurity as a 3 years old, then went on to win several local titles in various stock horse events after that. In 1994, Khadofee captured the coveted Merced Elks Ladies All Around title, not only winning a Penning division, the Barrel Racing and returned in 1998 to take the All Around Saddle award!

Over the years this horse has won more then his fair share of money and Trophy buckles. At the age of 20 he was still going strong, winning the Cow Palace Penning. the 2003 WCTPA year end High Point Mixed Division saddle winner rode Khadofee to this title. the 2005 CCPA High Point trailer was won on him and in 2005 he was part of the team that won the Open Champion and Reserve Champion at the Avi team penning. Khadofee has recently retired at the age of 24 and is a strong testiment that our horses are strong and sound.

Kidding Conrad
Another ranch raised gelding that has proven to be a great one. In 2000 he was the Nevada Cow Horse Association Reserve Champion in the Non-pro Futurity. the 2003 Reno Rodeo Ranch sorting was won on Conrad and his full brother ben, both raised and trained on our ranch. The 2004 Reno Rodeo Ranch Horse class title was won by Conrad along with being the mount for the CCPA Year End Open Saddle winner that same year. In 2005 he was a finalist at the State Fair Ranch Horse Versatility competition. which was also year that he captured the WCTPA Year End Limited saddle. 2006 saw Conrad and Ben teaming up again to win the Mixed Division at the Avi team penning, as well as Conrad and Khadofee (half brothers) being crowned Reserve Champions at Cow Palace. Most recently at age 11, Conrad carried his rider to win 1st and 2nd in the Team Penning Shoot Out at the 2007 Avi Penning.

Surefire Malone
A 2000 gelding raised and trained here on the ranch that has won lots of money penning and won the 2006 Open Reining class at the Stanislaus County Fair. Surefire excels also as a rope horse.

Zorro
A 2001 gelding who is well on his way to following in his brothers footsteps. In 2006 he won the limited stock horse class at the fair (his first show.) and was on the Reserve Open Champion team along with Conrad at the 2007 Avi penning. Most recently he placed in the top 4 at a local Versatile Ranch Horse competition, where he won the confirmation class that consisted of 20 other horses.
